A cylindrical metal part that guides the piston to reciprocate linearly in the cylinder. Air in the engine cylinder converts thermal energy into mechanical energy through expansion; the gas is compressed by the piston in the compressor cylinder to increase the pressure.
The casings of turbines, rotary piston engines, etc. are also commonly referred to as “cylinders”. Application areas of cylinders: printing (tension control), semiconductors (spot welding machine, chip grinding), automation control, robots, etc.
Determine the thrust and pull force on the piston rod according to the force required for the work. Therefore, when selecting the cylinder, the output force of the cylinder should be slightly marginal. If the cylinder diameter is selected smaller, the output force is not enough, and the cylinder cannot work normally; but the cylinder diameter is too large, not only makes the equipment bulky and costly, but also increases the gas consumption, resulting in energy waste. When designing the fixture, a force-increasing mechanism should be used as much as possible to reduce the size of the cylinder.
